Rotary Endodontics

Endodontics, more commonly known as root canal, is a procedure where the nerve of the tooth is removed. This is often due to the fact that they are infected and the tooth is causing pain.  A common misconception of a root canal is that the root itself is removed, this is not true.  This is a separate procedure sometimes used, but MOST root canal treatment the root stays in tact.  The nerve is cleaned out from the roo itself, this canal is then disinfected and replaced by a rubber like material called gutta percha.

Rotary Endodontics is a way of performing the root canal utilizing a specific electrical handpiece. This tool often makes the process faster and allows the dentist to perform the process with greater ease.
